First, I used the Overture Keyword Selector Tool located on the following website:

The words or phrases in quotes (i.e. “Cape Cod Photography”) were inputted into the search box and the results follow afterwards (i.e. 75 cape cod photography)

a. The words or phrases (under results) that I marked in red are those that are inappropriate to my project’s website or could be used as negative keywords to lead those people that search for those terms away from my website

b. The rest of the words or phrases (under results) (in black and white font) are acceptable as is or can be combined with other words to create a more effective search

Here is a summary strategy based on the above keyword searches:

* The Yahoo Search Marketing tool was more focused than the Overture Keyword Selector Tool in providing keywords closer to and more targeted towards the original terms I placed in the search boxes

* The top left hand title of the homepage needs to contain the following words (or a combination of the following words) to increase the chances of the user finding my project’s website:

* The words and phrases marked in a red font in the above search results can be used as negative keywords

Any combination of the above words having to do with sex and adult themes, especially when used with the following words or phrases, can be used as negative keywords:

Wedding photos/videos
Wedding photography/videography

The purpose here is not to limit words having to do with weddings or wedding photography or videography, rather only when combined with words or phrases having to do with pornography or adult themes, so my website can attract the right prospects actually searching for wedding photo/video services

* There might be a way to “negate” any searches for States (states in the US) that are not related to Massachusetts without having to input all of the rest of the States as negative keywords

* Also, there might be a way to “negate” searches for celebrity weddings or celebrity wedding photos/videos without having to input a vast amount of celebrities (almost infinite amount of celebrities out there) as negative keywords

The purpose of using negative keywords is to better select and attract the most qualified prospects that will come to my website and use my photo/video services
